Malini Ramani came to yoga through gymnastics and Ashtanga, and found her deep practice in Kundalini about fifteen years ago, training in Bali. For years she taught only Kundalini, first in Goa, to travellers arriving from all over the world.
She loves that it is never repetitive: mantra, breathwork, mudras, meditation and sound, all meant, in her words, to “uplift you and help you live life to its highest potential.” Yoga, for her, is a lot more than exercise.
During the pandemic she spent a year in Rishikesh, which she calls “like a dream”: studying other forms of yoga, sitting in satsangs and kirtans, and meeting teachers, yogis and swamis. She now lives in Tapovan, and her classes blend Kundalini with what Rishikesh taught her: postures, music, mantra and affirmations.
She curates retreats by the Ganga, with movement, breath, prayer, music, sacred ritual and deep rest, and guides Shakti Yoga journeys for gatherings, from the Full Moon Experience by Vitality Hours in Delhi to a guided yoga and breathwork session at the UK Asian Film Festival’s Mystic Mela.
