Wellness Disclaimer

last updated · 20 august 2026

This page matters more than most, so read it properly before you connect with anyone through Hawa.

01 · hawa is a catalog. it doesn't deliver, and it doesn't introduce

Hawa is a suggestion service. We help you find practitioners and sanctuaries that might suit you, and we show you why we think they're worth a look. Reaching out is always your move to make; we don't contact anyone on your behalf or facilitate the introduction ourselves. From the moment you decide to get in touch, every session, class, reading, consultation, retreat, or experience is run entirely by the practitioner or sanctuary, not by us. We are not in the room, on the call, or on the retreat with you.

02 · we take no responsibility for what happens next

This is the part we want to be completely plain about: to the fullest extent permitted by law, once you're connected with a practitioner or a sanctuary, Hawa Being carries no responsibility and no liability, direct or indirect, for anything that happens during, through, or as a result of that connection. That includes, without limitation:

  • how skilled, professional, qualified, licensed, or appropriate a practitioner turns out to be
  • what actually happens in a session, treatment, or retreat, and whether it was safe, effective, or properly conducted
  • any physical, emotional, psychological, financial, reputational, or legal harm you experience, directly or indirectly
  • anything a practitioner or sanctuary tells you, promises you, claims about themselves, or fails to disclose
  • disagreements, disappointments, injuries, accidents, or disputes between you and them
  • cancellations, no-shows, refunds, rescheduling, contract terms, or payment disputes, all of which are matters between you and them, not us
  • any acts or omissions of a practitioner or sanctuary, including negligent or intentional conduct

Whatever you decide to do with a practitioner or sanctuary you find through Hawa Being, you're doing it entirely at your own risk and by your own choice, and Hawa Being's role ends the moment we show you the suggestion.

03 · you assume the risk, and you release us

By using this Platform and choosing to contact any practitioner or sanctuary, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risk associated with that choice and everything that follows from it. You release Hawa Being, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates, to the fullest extent permitted by law, from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, and causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with your interaction with any practitioner or sanctuary. This release and assumption of risk applies whether the claim is based on contract, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and survives even if a practitioner or sanctuary is later found to have acted improperly, unsafely, or unlawfully.

04 · being listed on hawa isn't a stamp of approval

Before we list someone, we may speak with them or look into their background. That gives us a general sense of who they are, but it is not a license verification, a certification, a background check, or an ongoing audit of their work, and we make no representation or warranty about their skill, safety, legality, or conduct, past or future. We don't supervise practitioners once they're listed, and we don't monitor sessions, retreats, or any part of what happens after you make contact. If credentials, licensing, or a specific certification matter to you, verify them yourself, directly with the practitioner or sanctuary, before you commit to anything.

05 · this isn't medical or mental health care

Nothing on Hawa, including quiz results, suggestion explanations, or anything written in the Reading Room, is medical or clinical advice. Practices like Ayurveda, astrology, breathwork, sound healing, and coaching sit alongside conventional care; they don't replace it. For anything related to a medical condition, medication, or mental health, talk to a licensed doctor or therapist first.

If you're in a medical or mental health emergency, or having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, please step away from this Platform and contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

06 · we can't promise outcomes

People's experiences with any given practitioner or retreat vary significantly and depend on factors entirely outside Hawa Being's control. What worked well for someone else is not a guarantee of what will work for you, and we make no claims, representations, or warranties about results, benefits, or outcomes of any kind.

07 · it's a direct relationship between you and them

Once you reach out to a practitioner or sanctuary, that relationship is between the two of you. Hawa Being isn't a party to it, isn't acting as anyone's agent, guarantor, or representative, and won't be stepping in to enforce agreements, chase payments, mediate disputes, or take responsibility for outcomes on either side. If a dispute, claim, or cost arises between you and a practitioner or sanctuary, or between you and any other user, you agree that Hawa Being has no obligation to get involved, and you agree to indemnify and hold Hawa Being harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from it.

08 · read this alongside our terms of use

This disclaimer works together with our Terms of Use, which contains the full assumption of risk, release, and limitation of liability language that also governs your use of this Platform. Where anything here and in the Terms of Use overlaps, both apply, and neither limits the other.

09 · by using hawa, you're agreeing to all of this

Using the Platform, or reaching out to anyone listed on it, means you understand Hawa Being's role stops at showing you the suggestion, that reaching out and everything after is your own decision and at your own risk, that you have assumed that risk knowingly, and that you release and will not hold Hawa Being responsible for how it goes. If you do not agree to this, do not use the Platform or contact any practitioner or sanctuary through it.
