Fixed-Date Retreat

( the feeling of it )

No Wi-Fi, no screens, no decisions. Six days of somebody else holding the shape while you find out what's underneath.

( the story )

A screen-free yoga and meditation retreat outside Siem Reap running fixed six- and sixteen-day programmes, with an Angkor Wat sunrise journey inside every stay.

Hariharalaya doesn't sell nights; it runs a process. You join either the six-day Immersion in Presence and Aliveness or the sixteen-day Life Reset, and the days are already shaped — yoga of awareness training, meditation, workshops, a healing massage, three plant-based meals. There is no Wi-Fi and there are no screens: the digital detox is the structure, not an add-on. Somewhere in the retreat you leave before dawn for Angkor Wat, meditate as the sun comes up over the temple, and receive a water blessing from a Buddhist monk. You sleep in a traditional Khmer wooden house, a garden bungalow, a villa or a suite, on grounds that hold a yoga studio, a meditation temple, a pool, an art studio and a climbing wall.

( field notes, dawn to night )

A day here

before dawn

One morning you leave in the dark for Angkor, and meditate as it comes up over the temple.

morning

Practice, then silence, then food eaten slowly because there is nothing to read.

afternoon

Workshops, the pool, the art studio, the climbing wall — or an unapologetic sleep.

evening

A monk's water blessing, and a night so dark it feels like it has weight.
